How to Empower Your Kids with Positive Affirmations

Taking Care of You | 0 comments

A child’s mental health can be a fragile thing that must be kept nourished with positivity and love. Affirmations for kids are a great way to foster positivity and well-being in your child.

Repeating positive affirmations for kids can encourage a good mindset in your child to be happy with themselves, provide self-confidence and self-esteem. Affirmations for kids help instill and reinforce positive thoughts about themselves and provide a solid foundation that will last throughout their life.

Children will sometimes lose motivation if things feel too hard and they may give up before really trying. With your help they will learn that hard things are just a challenge and not an obstacle. This will give them encouragement and make it easier for them to say, “I can do this!”.

It is important that children develop a positive self-image and know that how they think and look are OK. There are mean people in this world that try to derail one’s self-image. Give your children the tools to overcome this. Positive affirmations for kids are a good start.

Here are some affirmation ideas for kids to get you started. Feel free to modify them to personally suit your child:

  • I am grateful for the wonderful people in my life.
  • I did my best today. I look forward to new adventures tomorrow.
  • I love and accept who I am.
  • I am strong and smart.
  • I am loved.
  • I am thankful for today and look forward to tomorrow.
  • I am proud of myself for today. Tomorrow will be even better.
  • I feel safe in my sleep. My sleep recharges me for a good tomorrow.
  • I am learning and I am growing.
  • I make mistakes but I learn from them and I grow.
  • I will sleep restfully and dream beautiful dreams.
  • I can do whatever I set my mind to.

We all have good days and bad days. That also applies to our children. Positive affirmations for kids help reinforce the good thoughts that provide a solid positive foundation for them to learn and grow.

Give it a try. It may seem silly to them at first, but they will soon embrace it and with regular practice it will become a part of their life. Try to do the affirmations at a consistent time every day. Kids sleep affirmations are a great time to practice this.
